A superb German Heer em/nco field service cap. Late-war manufactured example featuring atypical features that are rarely encountered. Late-war feldgrau wool. In mint unissued condition. Spliched front construction factory made. Classic « BeVo » machine stitched cockade along the front. Spliced underlay bill with two types of wool used. Interesting yet period factory made lining to include brown « HBT » linen material and a classic light rayon silver material seen on French manufactured headgear. Nicely ink stamped with the full RBNr.« 1/0450/0272 ». Sized in a « 57 » and dated « 1944 ». A rare and desirable M43 cap.
