WW2 French named Prisoner of War, engraved canteen. Amazing item personally feel it belongs in a museum. Have seen more of these engraved pieces but this is the best one imho. Belonged to Jean Ducheir french ww2 soldier (6th Regiment ) who was taken captive and made this as an Souvenire du Captivité (Pommern). He engraved this croatian canteen during his time as prisoner of war. Many camps as you can see: Altgurkowschbruch/Grossborn/Driessen/Stargard/Klein Reichow/ Greifenberg. Also the date of 1940 is visible at on side the other is unfinished at 194….  Backside he has engraved an portrait of himself inside an prison camp with barbed wire aswell an guardtower.
