Luftwaffe Single Decal M42 Combat Helmet

Luftwaffe Single Decal M42 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M42).

The steel construction M42 helmet retains most of its rough textured, blue-gray paint and about 95% of the decal. The paint shows normal wear and scratches caused by usage. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact, the liner is size ’55’ marked. The shell is very faintly marked with maker and size ‘NS62’ which indicates production by the company ‘Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke AG’ in Schwerte. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number ‘D276’.  There are normal traces of usage, the helmet is in uncleaned condition. Nice original Luftwaffe helmet in good used condition!
